Functional Movement Screening

For many clients, we start with a comprehensive movement assessment. This consists of various movements designed to understand your limitations and needs better. This initial screening helps our coaches identify any concerns before creating your personalized fitness program.

One universal tool we use is the Functional Movement Screen (FMS). The FMS evaluates seven fundamental movement patterns in individuals without current pain or musculoskeletal injuries. It’s not meant to diagnose orthopedic issues but to highlight opportunities for improved movement.

By using FMS, we ensure a tailored approach to enhance your fitness journey.

MyZone Heart Rate Monitoring

We love MyZone, and many of our clients choose to use this technology to enhance their workouts. MyZone creates connected fitness experiences through the use of heart rate monitors, in-gym screens, and a free training app. This technology is powered by personal effort, accurate tracking, and real-time feedback.

With MyZone, you can monitor your progress, stay motivated, and achieve your fitness goals more effectively.

Progress Tracking for Strength & Endurance

For our new athletes, we employ programming designed by industry-leading expert Dr. Michael Yesis. This program is tailored for youth athletes unfamiliar with strength training, allowing them to gain strength, power, and agility while performing fundamental, safe movements under the watchful eye of their coach.

Athletes chart their progress and must earn any weight increases by demonstrating their capabilities to their coach. This process builds confidence and instills a sense of ownership in their progress. Our primary goal is confidence building.

Once athletes pass through both Phase One and Phase Two, they advance to our Sports Performance training. At this stage, they have demonstrated both maturity in a dynamic weight training environment and the physical ability to perform advanced movements. Eventually, they move into our D1 program, where they perform movements and exercises expected of a Division 1 athlete.
